Aviation Museum of Santa Paula
The first Sunday of each month, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Santa Paula Aviation Museum opens its hangars to the public free of charge. The Aviation Museum of Santa Paula is at 800 E. Santa Maria St. in Santa Paula. California Oil Museum Through Feb. 25
The history of the Southern Pacific Railway and its impact
on the area is highlighted in this exhibit that explores the earliest stages of the rail line depots from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles. Exhibit topics include railroad memorabilia, personal accounts, steam engines, traveling hobos
and more.
Santa Paula Art Museum
• The 10th Annual Art About Agriculture Exhibit will feature 82 artworks by 70 artists from across the country. All of the artworks on display are for sale. The exhibition runs through Feb. 25 in the Santa Paula Art Museum at 117 N. 10th St. in Santa Paula.
• De Colores Art Show: Portraits of the Past is the public’s first glimpse into the Museum’s De Colores Art Collection. The interactive exhibit features works by Latino artists, including Carlos Almaraz, Judy Baca, Sergio Hernández, Gilbert “Magú” Luján, Sylvia Raz, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Eloy Torrez and more. The exhibit runs through Jan. 28. • Second Thursday Gallery Talks The second Thursday of each month, at 3 p.m., guest artists, curators, and educators lead a talk and tour through the Santa Paula Art Museum’s galleries.
