Nordhoff Ridge tops rain totals

Most areas of the Ojai Valley got about a half-inch of rain in a storm that began Wednesday evening and lasted through Thursday morning. It was the second storm this fall, and brought the area's season total to around 0.78 inches. Nordhoff Ridge, at an elevation of about 4,000 feet, received the most rain in the tri-county area, with 3.07 inches.

Amidst scattered thunderstorms, a flash flood warning was issued Thursday afternoon for Nordhoff Ridge and the Maricopa Highway area; it was lifted at 4 p.m. Thursday.
No rain was forecast through the weekend, although Weathger.com predicted a small chance of rain on Thanksgiving.
Rain totals for Wednesday and Thursday, according to the Ventura County Watershed Protection District:
Ojai: 0.55 inches
Meiners Oaks: 0.45 inches
Oak View: 0.67 inches
Casitas Dam: 0.66 inches
Sulphur Mountain: 0.84 inches
Sisar Peak (Upper Ojai): 0.47 inches
Senior/Gridley Canyon: 0.75 inches
Nordhoff Ridge: 3.07 inches
Wheeler Gorge: 0.69 inches
Matilija Dam: 0.74 inches
