Our Ojai cam is the latest victim in the wake of the July 2014 water main break that flooded the Ojai Playhouse and Jester. The building's owner, who has donated the spot for the camera and its related equipment for many years, shut off the utilities needed to operate the camera pending a resolution of his effort to get Golden State Water Company to pay for the needed repairs. We appreciate your patience as we look for a suitable temporary location.

In honor of the sacrifices made by those served in the armed forces of our country, the Ojai Valley News will give free online subscriptions to U.S. active duty service members.
Ojai Valley News Publisher Tim Dewar announced today that any active duty military person is eligible regardless of where they are stationed.
"Having served in the military myself, I know some of the sacrifices these men and woman make," Dewar explained. "Being away from their hometown, often in foreign lands, can sometimes be difficult. That desire to maintain a connection with your hometown and your roots is something that this newspaper can, in some small way, help our military members and their families with."
