Police Blotter for the week ending January 4, 2002

REPORTED CRIMES
Two Stihl chain saws valued at $1,200 were reportedly taken from a garage in the 300 block of North La Luna Avenue Dec. 27.

A purse containing checkbooks, a Qualcomm cell phone, credit cards and a wallet with $221 was reportedly taken from a vehicle parked at Nordhoff High School Dec. 28. Entry was made by smashing a window, which brought the total loss to $931.

A wallet, $500 in cash and 150 compact discs were reportedly taken from a vehicle parked on Country Club Drive Dec. 31.

Tools valued at $280 were reportedly taken from a vehicle parked at an unknown address on Oak View Avenue Dec. 31.

A High Standard Sentinel Mark IV .22 caliber revolver (#S026919) and a Sony Playstation were reportedly taken from a residence in the 1400 block of Grand Avenue Dec. 31. The loss was listed at $180.

CITES AND ARRESTS
A Ventura woman was arrested in Mira Monte Dec. 19 on one felony and three misdemeanor warrants totaling $80,000.

A transient woman with a history of numerous solicitation arrests was arrested Dec. 28 in the downtown area on suspicion of soliciting cash. Bail was set at $1,000.

A Park Road man was arrested at the Ojai Police Station on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.

A transient man was arrested in Meiners Oaks Dec. 29 on suspicion of public intoxication. Bail was set at $1,000.

A Matilija Canyon man was arrested in Meiners Oaks Dec. 29 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and on a felony, no-bail warrant.

A Shady Lane woman and a Rice Road man were arrested in the 800 block of East Ojai Avenue Dec. 29 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and transporting and possessing a controlled substance for sale. Bail for each was set at $45,000.

A Ventura woman was arrested on Foothill Road Dec. 30 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.

A Casmalia, Calif. man was arrested in Casitas Springs Dec. 30 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a syringe, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana in a vehicle, and driving on a suspended license. Bail was set at $8,000.

A Woodland Avenue man was arrested on Maricopa Highway Dec. 31 on a no-bail, felony parole hold.

A Camarillo woman was arrested on East Ojai Avenue Jan. 1 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.

An Ojai woman was arrested near Casitas Springs Jan. 1 on a fugitive, no-bail warrant.

A Fillmore man was arrested on East Ojai Avenue Jan. 1 for allegedly resisting arrest, providing false information to and assaulting a peace officer, and on a $50,000, felony child endangerment warrant.
