Police Blotter for the week ending January 11, 2002

REPORTED CRIMES
Vandalism to the marquee and the theft of 50, 6-inch black letters was reported at Nordhoff high School Jan. 1. The loss was listed at $350.

A window at a business in the 300 block of Old Grade Road was reportedly smashed Jan. 2. The loss was listed at $100.

Vandalism to a shed at Holy Cross Preschool was reported Jan. 3. The loss was listed at $100.

A rock was reportedly thrown through a window of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Matilija Street Jan. 4. A man's wallet containing $120 in cash, a credit card and a California driver's license was then reportedly taken from the vehicle. The loss, including vehicle damage, was listed at $2,120.

Theft of clothing and personal property valued at $13,675 was reported by a resident in the 1200 block of Daly Road Jan. 5.

A $150 window of a vehicle parked in the 10600 block of Creek Road was reportedly smashed Jan. 6.

An attempted burglary through the roof of a West Ojai Avenue business was reported Jan. 8.

CITES AND ARRESTS
A New Orleans man was arrested in the Vons parking lot Jan. 2 for allegedly possessing forged checks, a stolen credit card, a stolen vehicle, providing false information to a peace officer, and driving without a license. No bail information was provided.

A Fillmore man was arrested in Oak View Jan. 3 on two misdemeanor warrants, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and for obstructing a peace officer. Bail was set at $16,000.

A Newbury Park woman was arrested in Casitas Springs Jan. 3 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and a deadly weapon. Bail was set at $16,000.

A transient man was arrested for trespassing at the Ojai Presbyterian Church Jan. 3, and for allegedly refusing to leave. Bail was set at $1,000.

A Bundren Street man was arrested in Ventura Jan. 3 for allegedly making spousal battery and criminal threats. No bail information was provided.

An Arnaz Avenue man was arrested in Meiners Oaks Jan. 4 on a $5,000 vehicle code warrant.

A transient man was arrested in Mira Monte Jan. 5 for allegedly being drunk in public. Bail was set at $1,000.

A Mountain View Avenue man was arrested on Ventura Jan. 5 on a drug-related warrant and for allegedly possessing a controlled substance. Bail was set at $15,000.

A Ventura man was arrested on Maricopa Highway Jan. 6 on suspicion of driving under the influence. Bail was set at $5,000.

A Ventura man was arrested in Oak View Jan. 6 on suspicion of driving under the influence. Bail was set at $5,000.

A Santa Ana Boulevard woman was arrested in Mira Monte Jan. 7 on a $1,000 theft warrant.

An Oak View Avenue woman was arrested in Casitas Springs Jan. 7 on a $1,000 violation of probation warrant.

A Larmier Avenue man was arrested in Oak View Jan. 7 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.
