Thacher Toads level Windward
by Misty Volaski

The Thacher Toad lacrosse team has made a name for itself over the past few years, winning many league and nonleague games.
Tuesday's match was no different, when the Toads scored goal after goal on their league rivals. At the end of the first quarter, Thacher was up 5-0, and never looked back, taking it to the Los Angeles team, 15-1.
The win improved Thacher's overall record to 4-0, and 3-0 in league play.
Captain James Everett led the team in goals, with three points and an assist, while co-captain Charlie Munzig snagged two goals and an assist.
Several other players contributed two goals each, including senior attacker Bobby Kellog, junior attacker Drew Fleck, and senior midfielder Dan Bartlett. Junior midfielder Tyler Caldwell added an assist and a goal, while fellow midfielder Robert Cerda had an assist as well.
Goalkeepers José Estrada and Kyle Dumont had a combined six strong saves in goal, the majority by Dumont.
Thacher's defense kept Windward out of Toad territory for nearly the whole game, allowing only 12 shots on the Thacher goal.
With such a relentless offense, the Toads were ale to retain the ball most of the second half.
The lone Windward goal was scored late in the fourth quarter.
Coached by Jack Crawford and Bo Manson, the Toads' next game is on Saturday in Pebble Beach against another rival, Robert Louis Stevenson.
