Soule Park Men's Golf
off to good start in 2002

The Soule Park Men's Golf Club recently completed a four-man team tournament.
Teams placed according to handicaps. Winners of the Handicap 9.0 ­17.5 are as follows:
In first were Chris Beckett, Bob Bryden, Ted Wells and Brian Whitney, posting a 114. Rich Guzik, Doug Helm, Lee Stanworth and Bob Wiley posted a 125 for second place.
Tied for third place were Jim Burke, Ray Cavallero, Jim Maxwell and Richard Plain, and Bill Brown, Jim Degraffenreid, Don Galvin and Smokey Yanez, with a 126.
The second flight, with a team handicap of 17.7- 36.8, was also close. Gil Galarza, Richard Heintze, Gene Holt and Sonny Mason claimed the first-place title, with a 117.
Trailing with a 120 were Ken Cochran, Stan Masson and Ken Scolfield, in second.
Third-place finishers were David Gibson, Hal Janssen, Joe Moran and David Nakada, who posted a 122.
The Soule Park Men's and Senior Men's golf clubs practice and compete at the Soule Park Golf Course in Ojai.
