Police Blotter for the week ending March 8, 2002| REPORTED CRIMES Undisclosed items totaling $1,260 were reportedly taken from a residence in the 110 block of sunset Street in Oak View March 1. A clerk at the Arco mini mart in Oak View reported being robbed at gunpoint of $233.45 in alcohol and cash March 3 after unknown suspects allegedly demanded the items and ran out of the store. Jewelry and checks were reportedly taken from a residence in the 1700 block of Country Drive March 4 after a rock was thrown through a window to gain entrance. The loss, including damage to the $75 window, was listed at $2,250. CITES AND ARRESTS A transient man was arrested Feb. 27 at the rear of Vons Market on a $5,000 violation of probation warrant. An El Roblar Drive man was arrested in Meiners Oaks Feb. 28 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug-related paraphernalia, and on a drug-related warrant. Bail was set at $7,000. An Oak View woman was arrested in Oak View Feb. 28 on suspicion of being under the influence of and transporting and possession for sale of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $105,000. A Brier Street man was arrested in Oak View March 2 on suspicion of driving under the influence. Bail was set at $10,000. A Ventura man was arrested on Creek Road March 2 on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $10,000. An Oxnard woman was arrested on Del Norte Road March 3 for allegedly being in possession of a stolen vehicle. Bail was set at $20,000. A Larmier Avenue woman was arrested near her residence March 3 on a misdemeanor warrant, allegedly providing false information to a peace officer and driving under the influence. Bail was set at $10,000. A Burnham Road man was arrested near Casitas Springs March 4 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000. An East Aliso Street man was arrested on Creek Road March 5 on a $5,000 failure to appear warrant. A Nye Road man was arrested at his residence March 5 on a $10,000 battery warrant. A Ventura man was arrested in Oak View March 5 for allegedly possessing a controlled substance and drug-related paraphernalia. Bail was set at $11,000. |
