Ranger runners best Santa
Paula Cardinals

Nordhoff's track and field team swept Santa Paula in all four
divisions at NHS's only home track meet of the season last Thursday.
The varsity boys won 72-55; the Lady Rangers won as well, 75-46.
Both boys and girls junior varsity teams also won their meets.
Nordhoff's Danny Bolanos bested the Cardinals in three events:
the 880 yard (two minutes, 21.2 seconds) , mile (five minutes,
14 second) and two mile (10 minutes, 55 seconds).
The Rangers also had a host of double winners. Das Baker took
the 330 hurdle (44.07 seconds) and 440 yard (54.1 seconds), while
senior Jordan Hawkins threw the discus 138 feet, 4 inches and
the shot put 48 feet, 10 inches for the win in both events.
Kenny Allen won the 100 meter, with a time of 11.1 seconds, and
220 yard, with a time of 23.8 seconds.
Teammate Alexa Pulley clocked in as the fastest runner in both
girls hurdle races - 55.8 seconds for the 330 hurdles and 18.3
seconds for the 100 hurdles. Freshman Ana Levin dominated in
the 100 meter ( 12.9 seconds) and 220 yard (27.7 seconds).
Other girls' varsity winners included Shannon Popp in the discus,
throwing for 103 feet, six inches, Lindsey Owen, who took the
880, with two minutes, 37.3 seconds and Lindsey Klingberg high
jump 5'0"
Erin Deneen and Alyssa Robinson also added to Nordhoff's win;
Deneen pulled a triple jump of 28 feet, 4.5 inches, and Robinson
placed first in the mile, with six minutes, 7.9 seconds.
