P.A.L. Lightning boys best Camarillo
by Misty Volaski

Just like their girl counterparts, Ojai Police Activities League Lightning boys' basketball team is striking fear into their opponents.
The 12-and-under team recently took first place in the Ojai Recreation Department's Youth Basketball Tournament.
Led by Nordhoff basketball alumnus Matt Murphy, the Ojai Lightning took the Camarillo Extreme, 36-30.
The Ojai Lightning bested several area teams for the title in the March 24 tournament.
Against Camarillo, Lightning player John Espinoza had 10 points, but did not make either of his two foul shots.
Anthony Martinez followed, with six points, two of which were free throws.
Ben Malkin and Brenden Bengler both added five points each to the Lightning's score.
The Ojai Lightning played a balanced game, with 19 points in the first half and 17 in the second half.
