VPS golf puts divot in league opponents
by Misty Volaski

Like several other valley teams this year, Villanova's boys' golf team has a perfect record in league. They added two more wins when the Wildcats bested first the Cate Rams, then the Laguna Blanca Owls, to improve Villanova's record to 7-0.
The Wildcats, led by Ryan Kirby and Chris Colton, sailed past the Owls, 246-209. Colton led the team, posting 39, followed by Mero Marme, who posted a 40. Kyle Marme was a stroke behind his brother with a 41. Aaron harter and Kirby - who was medalist in Villanova's game against Cate - weren't their usual selves, trailing behind with a 43 and 46, respectively.
However, the win guarantees them at least a tie for first in the Condor League. Individual playoffs were yesterday at Buenaventura. As of press time, details and results were not available.
