· A reader sends a thumbs-up to the jewel of Mira Monte, Stir Crazy - to the gems who work there, Jody, Janine, Denise, Erin, Andrew, Eric and Ori and to Debbie's Delights Chocolate Mint Cake.

· A reader sends a thumbs-up to the valiant oak tree which is still surving despite the onslaught of heavy equipment working on the erection of the elaborate edifices on Ojai's Polluted Triangle Traffic Park.

· A reader sends a thumbs-up to Friends (next to Letter Lobby) for great healthy food and juices in a '40s setting of swinging music and fun decor.

· A reader sends a thumbs-down to the Ojai City Council/Redevelopment Agency for making it so hard for real people, merchants and artists of Ojai, to have a say in how public redevelopment tax money is to be spent. Save the fountain already, and the sycamore tree and the grass, open the rest rooms. This is not Santa Barbara - thank goodness.
