Parker's Putters retain first
in Sundowners
by Misty Volaski
Bopper's Thumpers may be the most steady team in the Sundowner's
Golf League. Despite the fact that first place has been handed
to several different teams early in the season, the Thumpers
have been able to stay in the top three nearly all season.
Posting a 36, Jacob Lusk and Jim Doyle of Bopper's Thumpers took
the low-gross honors for the week, along with Sambagger Barkely
Martin. They were followed by Doug Ragan, Pete Bonsignori, Todd
Henard, Sam Williamson, Lonnie Gibson and Robin Williams, all
of whom fired a 37 last Tuesday.
Todd Henard of the fifth-place Scramblers, and Ted Cotti of the
Forrest Gumps shot 37 and 42, respectively, each earning 23 points
each for their teams.
The Sundowners League resumes play Tuesday at Soule Park Golf
Course.
