Police Blotter for the week ending May 31, 2002
REPORTED CRIMES
A Panasonic VCR, Nintendo, 15 Nintendo cartridges and $100 cash
were reportedly taken from a residence in the 2600 block of Valley
Meadow Raod May 23. The loss was listed at at $1,350.
Two sony Playstations, two memory cards and five games were reportedly
taken from a residence in the 200 block of Valle Rio May 25.
The loss was listed at $660.
Two yellow gold rings, two pairs of earrings and 31 Celebrex
tablets were reportedly taken from a residence in the 1800 block
of Meiners Road May 28. The value of the items was unknown.
A $100 Sprint cell phone was reportedly taken from a person in
the area of El Roblar Drive near Andy's Liquor.
CITES AND ARRESTS
A Grandview Avenue man was arrested on east Ojai Avenue May 23
on two alcohol-related warrants totaling $10,000.
A Van Nuys man was arrested in Oak View May 24 on aa $26,000
failure-to-appear warrant out of Newhall.
An Alabama woman was cited and released on Rice Road May 25 on
suspicion of peddling without a license.
A Signal Street woman was arrested on East Ojai Avenue May 25
on suspicion of public intoxication. Bail was set at $1,000.
A Montgomery Street woman was cited and released on West Ojai
Avenue for allegedly possessing drug-related paraphernalia.
A Lake Tahoe man was arrested on Creek Road May 27 on suspicion
of being under the influence of a controlled susbstance and driving
on a suspended license. Bail was set at $6,000.
A Ventura man was arrested in Casitas Springs May 27 on suspision
of being under the infkluence of a controlled substance, possession
of cocaine and drug-related paraphernalia, and on a failure-to-appear
warrant for possession of cocaine. Bail was set at $26,000.
A Nye Road man was arrested at his residence May 28 on a $10,000
violation of probation warrant.
A Capello Way man was arrested in Mira Monte May 28 on suspicion
of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail
was set at $5,000.
An Oxnard man was arrested on Descanso Avenue May 28 on a failure-to-appear
warrant and on suspicion of kidnapping. Bail was set at $105,000. |
