Mildred Ruth Gage
Mildred Ruth Gage, 85, formerly of Ojai,
died Wednesday, June 5, 2002 in Montrose, Colo. The cause of
death was heart failure resulting from non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
She was a graduate of Congers High School and a homemaker whose
interests included restoring antiques, gardening and sports.
In 1980, she and her husband moved from Valley Cottage, N.Y.,
to Ojai, to be closer to her family.
Widowed in 1998, Mrs. Gage moved to New City, N.Y., to live with
her sister, Evelyn Fasano. Most recently, she resided with her
son and daughter-in-law in Colorado. She is survived by her son
and daughter-in-law, George and Beth Gage, of Telluride, Colo.;
sisters Evelyn Fasano and Wilma Peaslee; brother George Winstedt;
and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Floyd J. Gage, in 1998.
A family memorial service is planned for New York in July.
