The following are the weekly results of the Soule park Senior
Men's Golf Club tournament played May 29. It was played in the
individual low net format:
First flight, with a handicap of 4 to13:
First place, Jim Burke, posting a 59 ;
Second Gerald Cummings, posting 65;
Third Gordon Whitcomb, posting 68 .
Second flight, with a handicap of 14 to 16:
First place, Bob Willey, posting 66;
Second place, Ray Cavallero, posting 67;
Third place, Hugh Black, posting 68 .
Third flight, with a handicap of17 to 21:
First place, Rudy Nava, posting 69;
Second-place tie between Mickey Perry and Richard Rockefeller;
each posted 70.
Fourth flight, with a handicap of 22 to 38:
First-place tie between Bob Cousar and Richard Brown; each posted
69;
Third-place tie between David Gibson and John Scholfield; each
posted 71.
In Monday's match, "a four-man team, two best ball"
format was used. The following are the results of those games:
First flight team, with a handicap of 34 to 71 (low flight):
First place, David Boehm, Mickey Perry, John Siemons and Fred
Standifer, posting 118;
Second-place tie between Doug Helm, Hugh Neville, Lee Stanworth
and Bob Willey, and Don Gluyas, Vern Goff, John Lewis and Daryl
Muth, posting 121.
Second flight team, with a handicap of 72 to 145 (high flight):
First place, Len Block, Ted Exner, Konrad Gleissner and Bruce
Rehwoldt, posting 113;
Second place, Ken Cochran, Stan Mason, John Scholfield, Blind
Draw, posting 114;
Third place, Dick Brown, Bill Horton, Ernie Nichols and Glenn
Stubblefield, 118.
