Wolfpack captures three OVMSA
wins in league
by Misty Volaski
Despite the fact that they're in 11th place overall, Wolfpack
still knows how to slam a good win down their opponents' throats.
Wolfpack doubled the Valley Builders' score, 16-8, on June 23,
scoring 10 runs to the Valley Builders' five in four innings,
and held them scoreless throughout the sixth and seventh innings.
Last week, Wolfpack went head to head with the eighth-place Silver
Bullets, and again doubled their score, 22-11. Wolfpack player
Justin Bracamonte, pictured above, went two for two and connected
for a home run. Russ Villa went two for two, as well.
Silver Bullet Leo Gutierrez rivaled Bracamonte, going three for
three and adding a home run to the Silver Bullets' score. Mike
McGraw also contributed three hits from three at bats.
Later that day, Wolfpack bested Tri-County Trucking by nine points.
Once again, Bracamonte led the Pack, going two for two and adding
two more home runs. Teammate Danny Villa also nabbed a home run,
bringing the team up, 17-8.
Wolfpack led in scoring every inning, but Tri-County was close
behind in the early innings, actually tying Wolfpack in the third
before going scoreless in the third and fourth innings.
Wolfpack and its opponents are part of Ojai Valley Men's Softball
Association and play at Sarzotti Park all summer.
