Village Idiots, Bopper's Thumpers
move up in ranks
by Misty Volaski
When Village Idiots Jerry Michaels and Jim Corral landed 23
points last Tuesday, it put their team in second place for the
second half of the season.
But don't celebrate just yet - though the first half of the season
found the top teams securely in their positions, the second half
has mixed things up a bit. Teams like Bopper's Thumpers rapidly
climbing the ladder from 10th place to seventh place this week.
Jacob Lusk and Jim Doyle carried the team, shooting a 33 and
36, respectively.
It seems the only team with any real consistency is Sambaggers.
Because the team consistently shoots in the top five for low
gross and high points honors, they have remained in the top 10
for the entire Sundowners' season. Several times they have been
in the top five, but for the past two weeks have held the third-place
position - which is good enough to get them into the finals at
the end of the season.
Sambaggers Sam Williamson and Terry Gustafson tied with Lusk
and Corral for the lowest gross of 33.
With 240 second-half points, Above Par holds a two-point lead
over the Village Idiots.
