Strben, Characters lead Sundowners pack

Just when things started to fall into a comfortable pattern, the #&?*!@$% rocked the Sundowners Golf League Tuesday when they knocked longtime first-place team Above Par into fifth.
#&?*!@$%, which was in fourth place last week, grabbed several wins on the low-gross and high-points scoreboards. Leading #&?*!@$% and the league for most points for the week was Andy Strben, who posted a 38 for 25 points on the day. Fellow #&?*!@$% Mike Urbanek also placed well in the high-points category, with 20. Both Strben and Urbanek posted a 38 for their respective points.
Bopper's Thumpers also jumped up the ranks, going from seventh to fourth place in one week thanks to Jacob Lusk. Lusk, who is consistently found at the top of both the low-gross and high-points lists, scored a two-under-par 34 Tuesday for 20 points. Teammate Lenny Roberts posted 21 points, while Tyson York followed with 20 points by shooting an even-par 36.
Village Idiots maintained their second-place position with Robin Williams' 20 points off a score of 34. Adrian Frape and Ted Cotti added another 20 points each, bringing the team's total score to 295, just four strokes behind #&?*!@$%.
The Sundowners Golf League plays every Tuesday at Soule Park Golf Course.
