by Misty Volaski

P.A.X., a student exchange program, is looking for families to host student athletes from around the world for the next school year.
P.A.X. students will arrive in August from more than 30 countries around the world, and will bring with them enthusiasm for a particular sport.
Students will come from places like Sweden, Thailand, Ecuador and Venezuela to live with local families and participate in various sports including soccer, basketball, running and cycling. All families are welcome to apply to have exchange students, whether they have children or not.
P.A.X. is formally called the Program of Exchange, and is a nonprofit educational foundation which promotes cross-cultural understanding through educational exchange.
For more information on being a host family to a foreign athlete, call Tracy Marcynzsyn, P.A.X. coordinator, at 375-2371, or call (800) 555-6211 and ask for Eileen.
