REPORTED CRIMES
The owner of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of South Montgomery
Street reported that a window was broken and a stereo face plate
was taken Aug. 19. The loss was listed at $100.
Undisclosed items were reportedly taken from a residence in the
16700 block of Maricopa Highway Aug. 20, and a credit card taken
was allegedly used to purchase gasoline. The loss was listed
at $210.
A pellet/BB rifle and a pellet pistol were reportedly taken from
an unlocked garage in the 400 block of Golden West Avenue Aug.
20. The loss was listed at $100.
Vandals did a reported $400 in damage to a Fox Street business
Aug. 20.
Twelve bottles of liquor, A Winchester single-barrel shotgun
and other items were reportedly taken from a residence in the
300 block of Burnham Road Aug. 20. The loss was listed at $3,135.
A purse containing credit cards and personal identification,
and a pager, rainbow-colored sunglasses and a $50 traveler's
check were reportedly taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 100
block of East Ojai Avenue Aug. 20.
A purse containing credit cards, identification and $120 in cash,
and a CD were reportedly taken from an unlocked vehicle in the
200 block of North Arnaz Avenue Aug. 22. The loss was listed
at $256.
A Toshiba DVD/VCR and other items were reportedly taken from
a residence in the 300 block of Carrizo Street Aug. 22. The loss
was listed at $321.
Credit cards and other personal items were reportedly taken from
an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Arnaz Avenue Aug. 23.
A hand-held scanner and charger were reportedly taken from an
unlocked vehicle in the 900 block of Spring Street Aug. 23. The
loss was listed at $2,500.
A wallet containing credit cards, a driver's license and other
identification was reportedly taken from an unlocked vehicle
parked at Nordhoff High School Aug. 24.
Vandalism to a vehicle totaling $1,200 was reported to a vehicle
in the 400 block of Fox Street Aug. 24.
A briefcase, cell phone, Rayban sunglasses and a wallet containing
credit cards, a driver's license and other identification were
reportedly taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 1100 block of
Foothill Road Aug. 27.
CITES AND ARRESTS
A La Luna Avenue man was arrested in Mira Monte Aug. 22 on suspicion
of making terrorist threats. Bail was set at $10,000.
A Loma Drive woman was arrested on Oak View Aug. 23 on suspicion
of battery, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and
on two drug-related warrants. Bail was in excess of $15,000.
Two transient men were arrested near the Ojai Library Aug. 23
for allegedly drinking in public and trespassing. Bails were
set at $2,000.
A Port Hueneme man was arrested in the Arcade Aug. 23 or allegedly
being drunk in public. Bail was set at $5,000.
A Brock Lane woman was arrested in Mira Monte Aug. 23 on suspicion
of misdemeanor battery.
Two Oxnard men were cited and released on Montgomery Street Aug.
23 for being minors allegedly in possession of alcohol.
A Chaparral Road woman was arrested in Oak View Aug. 24 on suspicion
of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail
was set at $5,000.
A Verano Drive man was arrested in Oak View Aug. 24 on two drug-related
warrants totaling $20,000.
A Santa Barbara man was arrested at the "Y" intersection
Aug. 25 on suspicion of driving under the influence. Bail was
set at $5,000.
A Larmier Avenue woman was arrested in Mira Monte Aug. 26 for
allegedly driving without a license and on a felony fraud warrant.
Bail was set at $51,000.
A 95-year-old Burnham Road man was arrested at his residence
Aug. 27 for allegedly violating the terms of a court order. The
suspect, however, was not booked into jail. |
