Police Blotter for the week ending September 20, 2002

REPORTED CRIMES
Two lapel microphones and a transmitter were reportedly taken from an Ojai church Sept. 6. The loss was listed at $1,200.

Prescription medication, a Sony Walkman and a Ludicris CD were reportedly taken from a residence in the 1100 block of Creekside Road Sept. 10. The loss was listed at $115.

A forged check was reportedly used to purchase goods in the 400 block of North Ventura Avenue Sept. 11. The loss was listed at $189.

Fictitious $650 and $500 checks were reportedly cashed at an Ojai liquor store Sept. 11.

Fifty dollars in cash and two bottles of prescription medication were reportedly taken from a locked vehicle in a Maricopa Highway parking lot Sept. 13. The loss was listed at $115,

A wallet containing $60, a birth certificate and the titles to two vehicles were reportedly taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Mahoney Street Sept. 15.

A JVC stereo, $60 in quarters, 15 cassette tapes and a Compaq Presario computer were reportedly taken from a residence in the 100 block of North Olive Street Sept. 16. The loss was listed at $2,722.

Two Motorola radios valued at $7,000 were reportedly taken from a public utility building on Red Mountain Sept. 17.

A shirt, skirt and stockings were reportedly taken from a closed business in the 200 block of East Matilija street Sept. 17.

CITES AND ARRESTS
A Matilija Canyon Road man was arrested in Meiners Oaks Sept. 11 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.

A Bakersfield man was arrested on Sulphur Mountain Road Sept. 11 on a warrant for driving under the influence and for allegedly driving on a suspended license. Bail was set at $10,300.

A Ventura man was arrested behind an Ojai Avenue restaurant on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.

An East Ojai Avenue woman was arrested in Oak View Sept. 13 on suspicion of driving under the influence. Bail was set at $5,000.

A Fernando Drive man was arrested at his residence Sept. 14 on a drug-related warrant. Bail was set at $5,000.

A Ventura man was arrested in Ventura Sept. 16 on suspicion of driving under the influence on a suspended license and on alleged felony burglary and conspiracy offenses that occurred in Oak View. Bail was set at $66,000.

A transient man was arrested on Church Road Sept. 16 for allegedly resisting arrest and storing property in a public place. Bail was set at $1,000.

An Arnaz Avenue woman was arrested in Meiners Oaks Sept. 16 on two vehicle code warrants and for allegedly possessing a controlled substance and marijuana in her vehicle. Bail was set at $21,000.

An Orchard Drive man was arrested on Descanso Avenue Sept. 16 on three felony warrants and allegedly resisting arrest. Bail was set at $60,000.

A Malibu man was arrested in Oak View Sept. 17 on a $2,700 vehicle code warrant.
