Nordhoff lady spikers ace Rio Mesa, 3-0

The Nordhoff Lady Rangers' volleyball team defeated Rio Mesa, 3-0, last Thursday in its first game of the season. Game scores were 15-8, 15-9 and 15-1.
Ranger Shannon Bryant had four aces, three kills and executed several key passes.
Brittney Ferro had three aces, 10 assists and three kills, while teammate Stephanie Sproul had six aces and three assists.
This year's varsity team members are: seniors Blair Waycasy and Whitney Featherstone, juniors Brittney Ferro, Shannon Bryant, Lianne Zimmermann, Stephanie Sproul, and Alison Bennett, and sophomores Amie Cresto, Holley Meisch, and Stephanie Flasch.
The squad played Carpinteria at home last night; results of the game were not available as of press time.
The Ranger girls play again tomorrow at home vs. Dos Pueblos of Santa Barbara. The frosh/soph team plays at 4 p.m., junior varsity at 5 p.m. and varsity at 6 p.m.
