by Misty Volaski

As the game concluded Wednesday evening, Villanova's girls' volleyball team again found themselves victorious over The Thacher School, 3-0. This year, Villanova swept the Toads in both games the cross-town rivals played against each other. Villanova's 3-0 score came from individual match scores of 15-2, 15-4, 15-4. The win brought the Wildcats to a 6-2 league record.
Key players for Villanova included Katie Parziale, who led the team in kills with seven. She also had four blocks. Laura Rowland contributed four kills and nine digs. Sarah Koik, who assisted 20 times, had two kills of her own. Laurin VanKeulen also had four kills as well as 20 service points. Kim Cole had three kills, while teammate Kaley Swift had two. Alyssa Strom rounded out the team, adding another kill.
The girls played without junior captain, Billie Sgroi, who, for reasons Villanova did not divulge, is temporarily ineligible to play.
