Wildcat spikers ace Toads

As the game concluded Wednesday evening, Villanova's girls'
volleyball team again found themselves victorious over The Thacher
School, 3-0. This year, Villanova swept the Toads in both games
the cross-town rivals played against each other. Villanova's
3-0 score came from individual match scores of 15-2, 15-4, 15-4.
The win brought the Wildcats to a 6-2 league record.
Key players for Villanova included Katie Parziale, who led the
team in kills with seven. She also had four blocks. Laura Rowland
contributed four kills and nine digs. Sarah Koik, who assisted
20 times, had two kills of her own. Laurin VanKeulen also had
four kills as well as 20 service points. Kim Cole had three kills,
while teammate Kaley Swift had two. Alyssa Strom rounded out
the team, adding another kill.
The girls played without junior captain, Billie Sgroi, who, for
reasons Villanova did not divulge, is temporarily ineligible
to play.
