Police Blotter for the week ending November 29, 2002

REPORTED CRIMES
Grand theft by fraud was reported Nov. 21 by a resident in the 3200 block of East Ojai Avenue. The reporting party alleged that each of two victims lost $25,000 when false claims were made by a known suspect concerning an investment.

A $300 vehicle window in the 00 block of West Catalina Avenue was reportedly broken Nov. 22.

Vandals allegedly broke a window at a residence in the 100 block of South Encinal Avenue Nov. 24.

CITES AND ARRESTS
A Mercer Avenue man was arrested in Meiners Oaks Nov. 22 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.

An Arnaz Avenue man was arrested at his residence Nov. 22 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.

A Villanova Road man was arrested at his residence Nov. 25 on a $500,000 child abuse warrant.

An Olive Street man was arrested at his residence on three drug-related and one driving-under-the-influence warrants. Bail was set at $16,000.

A transient man was arrested on Signal Street Nov. 26 on a trespassing warrant and on suspicion of public intoxication. Bail was set at $1,500.

A Jeanne Avenue man was arrested in Oak View on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.
