REPORTED CRIMES
A metal sign valued at $50 was reportedly taken from a residence in the 300 block of Saddle Lane Dec. 21.
A $140 forged check was reportedly presented at a Maricopa Highway bank Dec. 13.

A Samsung DVD player and an RCA VCR were reportedly taken from a residence in the 1400 block of Maricopa Highway Dec. 13. The loss was listed at $400.

Three tires valued at $300 were reportedly taken from a yard in the 500 block of North Ventura Avenue Dec. 16.

The petty theft of $11.75 worth of merchandise was reported at an Ojai market Dec. 16.

Numerous calls were received late Dec. 24 reporting the suspicious activities of an old man in a red suit. Most callers stated that the man, after leaving the rooftops of several area homes, was seen climbing into an ornate sleigh led by nine reindeer, which then flew north through the night sky. The investigation continues.

CITES AND ARRESTS
A Rice Road man was arrested in Oak View Dec. 16 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.

An Apricot Street woman was arrested at her residence Dec. 17 on two misdemeanor warrants totaling $10,000.

An Oak View Avenue man was arrested at his residence Dec. 17 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and on two warrants for violation of probation on drug-related offenses. Bail was set at $40,000.

An Ash Lane man was arrested at his residence Dec. 17 on warrants for violation of probation and failing to appear. Bail was set at $10,000.

A Santa Barbara man was arrested on Encino Drive Dec. 17 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.

A man who refused to give his address was arrested on North Montgomery Street Dec. 20 on suspicion of public intoxication. Bail was set at $1,000.

A Sunset Lane man was cited and released at his residence Dec. 21 for allegedly possessing less than an ounce of marijuana.

A Mountain View Avenue man was cited and released in Ventura Dec. 22 for allegedly possessing medication without a prescription.

A North Encinal Avenue woman was arrested near her residence Dec. 22 on suspicion of public intoxication. Bail was set at $1,000.

An Oxnard man was cited and released in Oak View Dec. 22 for allegedly possessing less than an ounce of marijuana.

A transient former Oak View woman was arrested in Oak View Dec. 23 for allegedly giving false information to a peace officer, and on two warrants for theft and vandalism. Bail was set at $16,000.
