REPORTED CRIMES
A blue 26-inch Pueblo bicycle valued at $50 was reportedly taken
from an East Ojai Avenue business Dec. 30.
An explosive device in a mailbox in the 7800 block of Ojai-Santa
Paula Road was reportedly detonated Jan. 1, causing $10 in damage.
An undisclosed number of checks were reportedly taken from a
mailbox in the 10200 block of Ojai-Santa Paula Road Jan. 2 and
cashed at several Ventura locations.
Vandalism to a business in the 100 block of East El Roblar Drive
totaling $500 was reported Jan. 3.
Vandalism to a residence and vehicle in the 1000 block of Granito
Drive totaling $200 was reported Jan. 5.
Two glass globes valued at $39 in the 1200 block of Loma Drive
were reportedly smashed Jan. 6.
A reported break-in in the 100 block of Bryant Street Jan. 6
resulted in $50 damages to the business and the theft of $15
in quarters.
CITES AND ARRESTS
An Oso Road man was arrested in Casitas Springs Jan. 1 on suspicion
of theft of a vehicle, preventing the victim from filing a police
report, and driving on a suspended license. Bail for the alleged
violations was $30,000. However, the man was also wanted on a
felony, no-bail warrant.
A Fernando Drive woman was arrested at her residence Jan. 1 for
allegedly possessing a controlled substance. Bail was set at
$10,000.
A transient man was arrested on Encino Drive Jan. 1 for allegedly
violating the terms of his probation. Bail was denied.
An Encino Drive man was arrested at his residence Jan. 1 on suspicion
of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession
of drug-related paraphernalia. Bail was set at $6,000.
An Avila Drive woman was arrested at an Aliso Street residence
Jan. 1 on suspicion of being under the influence of and possessing
a controlled substance. Bail was set at $15,000.
A Descanso Avenue man was arrested in Meiners Oaks Jan. 1 on
suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Bail was set at $5,000.
A transient man was arrested on West Ojai Avenue Jan. 2 on a
felony, no-bail parole hold.
An El Roblar Drive man was arrested at his residence Jan. 2
on suspicion of being under the influence of and possessing a
controlled substance and related paraphernalia. Bail was set
at $16,000.
A Meyer Road man was arrested at an undisclosed location Jan.
2 on suspicion of illegal entry and public intoxication. Bail
was set at $2,000.
A transient man was arrested in Meiners Oaks Jan. 3 on suspicion
of burglary and forgery. Bail was set at $15,000.
An Avila Drive woman was arrested in Mira Monte Jan. 3 on suspicion
of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession
of medication without a prescription. Bail was set at $6,000.
Two transient men were arrested for allegedly drinking in Libbey
Park Jan. 3. Bail for each was set at $1,000.
A Sunset Avenue man was arrested in Oak View Jan. 3 on a $5,000
alcohol-related warrant.
A La Luna Avenue man was arrested near his residence Jan. 4 on
suspicion of public intoxication. Bail was set at $1,000.
A Serenidad Place man was arrested in Oak View Jan. 4 on suspicion
of possession medication without a prescription. Bail was set
at $5,000.
A South Encinal Avenue man was arrested in Ventura Jan. 4 on
suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Bail was set at $5,000.
A transient man was arrested on Park Road Jan. 5 on a $5,000
traffic-related warrant.
A Ventura man was arrested in Oak View Jan. 5 on suspicion of
being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was
set at $5,000.
