ORD youth ski trip set for Jan. 25
Do you love to ski but don't have a way to get to the slopes?
The Ojai Recreation Department is taking a busload of teens to Mountain High on Jan. 25.
The bus will leave the Boyd Center at 7 a.m. and return around 8 p.m. If you need equipment, the fee is $60, which includes transportation, lift ticket and ski rental.
If you've got your own equipment, the cost is $45, which includes transportation and lift ticket.
All snowboarders must bring their own equipment, as rentals won't be available.
All participants should bring either food or spending money, as it is an all-day trip and food is not included in the price.
Sign-up deadline is today. Register now to ensure a spot on the bus. Call 646-1872 for more information or to register.

Men's and women's soccer kicks off Jan. 30
Beginning Jan. 30 and running through March 27, the ORD will be hosting both men's and women's soccer leagues.
Games will be held on Thursdays, at either 6:30, 7:30 or 8:30 p.m.
The cost is $150 per team, plus a $10 per game referee fee. All teams are guaranteed 12 games. Games will be held on 60 by 40 yard fields at Sarzotti Park.
Championship T-shirts and team trophies will be awarded to the best teams in each league. Call 646-1872 to sign up.

Ojai P.O.N.Y. baseball to hold signups this weekend at Sarzotti
Ojai P.O.N.Y. Baseball would like to announce that its sign-ups will be held at Sarzotti Park tomorrow and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Oak View Little League holding tryouts
The Oak View Little League Baseball League will be holding its annual signups-tryouts for the 2003 season. The tryouts-signups will be held at the Oak View Little League fields behind the Oak View Community Center Jan. 18 and 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Anyone with questions on registration or league information should call 477-1379.

Drop ins welcome at ultimate frisbee
The Ojai Recreation Department has begun an Ultimate Frisbee league, which will play Friday nights from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. It is a fast-paced non-contact sport which involves a lot of running, throwing and catching of frisbees. You don't have to ve an expert thrower to play.
All levels of play are welcome. Coed teams will be selected each week, so come alone or with friends. Cleats are recommended.

Get teams together now for 2003 softball leagues
Do you have a group that would like to play in the Ojai Recreation Department Mini Softball League, men's or coed division?
The next league begins Feb. 2, 2003. This is a six-week program with 12 plus games. The cost is $250 per team, plus a $12 per game umpire fee.
The Men's League plays Sunday afternoons, with the Coed C Division playing Monday nights, and Coed B Division on Tuesday nights. Please call Jayden Morrison at 646-1872, for more information.
