NHS needs spring sports coaches
Nordhoff's athletic director, Dick Sebek, announced recently
that Nordhoff has two spring coaching positions open.
The school needs a track and field coach, as well as a junior
varsity baseball coach.

positions.
Youth soccer players: club positions
open
Nigel Chisholm, former Nordhoff and Arsenal coach, is now forming
club soccer teams for the upcoming season at the Boys and Girls
Under 9 and Under 10 age groups.
To play in U9, kids should turn 9 on or after Aug. 1. To play
in U10 the child should turn 10 on or after Aug. 1.
Interested parents should contact Nigel Chisholm at 646-0138.
Last years Girls' U10 team went undefeated in League.
There were not Girls' U9, Boys' U9, or Boys' U10 age groups last
season
Chisholm will also be returning teams at the following age groups:
Girls U11, U12, U14, U16, U17 and Boys U12, U14, U16, U17, U19.
Anyone wanting a tryout with any of these teams should contact
Chisholm at 646-0138.
Ojai Lightning to hold tryouts
Ojai Lightning Basketball Team will be holding tryouts for all
of its teams, at the following times:
Boys, grades three to eight, on March 7 and March 10.
On March 7 tryout times are as follows:
Boys grades three and four will start at 4 p.m. and run till
5 p.m.; grades five and six, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.; grades seven and
eight, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
On March 10 all grades will start at 4 p.m.
Girls Team tryouts will be on March 5 and March 6 for grades
five through eight will begin at 4 p.m. and end at 5:30 p.m.
All tryouts will be held at Matilija Junior high School.
