REPORTED CRIMES
A building and vending machine at Topa Topa School were reportedly
vandalized with graffiti Feb. 26 causing $50 in damage.
Chaparral High School officials reported the theft of $50 to
$75 in cash Feb. 24.
A yellow Perception Carolina kayak valued at $910 was reportedly
taken from a residence in the 10900 block of Santa Ana Road Feb.
26.
A Craftsman Sawzall and hedge trimmer, unknown-brand binoculars
and a pair of earrings were reportedly taken from a residence
in the 7200 block of West Oak View Avenue Feb. 27. The loss was
listed at $910.
Three jackets, an Ericcson cell phone, a purse containing a paycheck,
assorted keys and a bag of change were reportedly taken from
a vehicle parked at the Gridley Road trailhead Feb. 27. The loss
was listed at $220.
CITES AND ARRESTS
An Aliso Street man was arrested on Cuyama Road Feb. 25 on suspicion
of felony forgery. No bail amount was provided.
A transient man was arrested in Oak View Feb. 25 on suspicion
of possessing and being under the influence of a controlled substance
and on a $10,000 drug-related warrant. Bail was set at $25,000.
A Sunset Avenue man was arrested at his residence Feb. 26 on
suspicion of driving under the influence and driving on a suspended
license. Bail was set at $6,000.
A Westlake man was arrested on West Ojai Avenue Feb. 26 on a
$5,000 vehicle code warrant.
A Sunset Avenue man was cited and released near his residence
Feb. 26 on suspicion of misdemeanor battery on an Oak View man.
A Signal Street woman was arrested in Oak View Feb. 27 on suspicion
of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail
was set at $5,000.
A transient woman was arrested on West Ojai Avenue Feb. 27 on
suspicion of public intoxication. Bail was set at $1,000.
An Oxnard man was arrested in Meiners Oaks March 1 on suspicion
of possessing methamphetamine and on a no-bail, firearms-related
warrant.
A transient man was arrested in Oak View March 3 on suspicion
of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail
was set at $5,000.
