New women's golf league opens next week at Soule
Starting Wednesday at Soule Park, a women's golf league will begin. It will run for 10 weeks, and each week will be a nine-hole tournament. Winners of each contest will be based on a low net. Tee times are 3:30 and 4:15 p.m. each Wednesday. The cost is $25 per player. For more information call Mitnee Duque at 646-6788.

Ojai Classic Heart and Sole 10K/5K
On May 17, the American Heart Association will be holding the 13th annual Ojai Classic Heart and Sole, beginning at Sarzotti Park. More than 400 participants are expected to run, jog and walk in one of these events: the 10K, the 5K run, the 5K walk, and the Neighborhood Stroll. Anyone can participate; registration will be held the day of the race at 7 a.m. Registration the day of the event will be $25 for adults and $15 for students.
You can also pr-register. Send $20 for adults, or $10 for students, along with the following information: your name, address, phone number shirt size, sex, age, and which race to plan to participate in to:
