ORD summer brochures are here
Ojai Recreation Department summer brochures are available now. A wide variety of exciting camps and classes are now being offered. Brochures are also available at the Ojai Chamber of Commerce and the Ojai Library.

Golfers needed for Ojai Golf Classic
This coming Monday, the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa will be hosting a gold tournament to benefit the Ojai Education Foundation and the Ojai Valley Youth Foundation. It will begin at 9 a.m. and will be in a Texas Scramble format. The cost per player is $225. A fajita buffet lunch and awards, presented by John Diehl, will follow the tournament. To sign up, call Elizabeth Rockey at the OVYF at 640-9555.

Baton twirling classes starts today
The Ojai Recreation Department is offering baton twirling lessons today for a seven-week session. Highlights of the classes include marching in the Fourth of July parade and a live performance June 29. Kids ages 6 and older are welcome to come to the ORD today at 3:30 for the first class of the session. The classes cost $75 and do not include a baton (batons can be purchased from instructor for $18). Participants will learn twirling skills, parade routines, dance twirling and more.

Sign up your kids for AYSO May 17, 21
AYSO soccer registration for players and volunteers wil be held at Sarzotti Park May 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and May 21 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The league is open to all children born between Aug. 31, 1984 and Jan. 1, 1999. All new players must bring proof of age. A rating session will take place while at registration.
The cost of registration is $65 for the first child per family, $60 for the second child, $55 for the third child, and no charge for fourth and additional children.
Late registration will also be held at Sarzotti Park June 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Late registration costs slightly more than early registration.
The registration fee includes full uniform and insurance. Scholarships are available for those who qualify.
