Wildcat golfers top four in CIF individual qualifier

Things keep looking brighter for the Villanova boys' golf squad. The team took the top three positions in the Condor League Individual Qualifier at Buenaventura Golf Course (par 72). The top three players in the tournament will go on to the CIF Individual Playoffs at Sterling Hils next Monday.

Villanova's Kyle Marme, Mero Marme and Aaron Harter will now represent the Condor League and Villanova in the CIF-SS Individual Playoffs.

Kyle Marme was medalist with a six-over-par 78. Brother Mero Marme followed with an 80. Harter came in third, posting an 81.
In fourth place, posting 82 was Ryan Kirby, who gained a CIF alternate spot.

Villanova, who cinched their Condor League championship with a win over Laguna Blanca ealier this month, is currently 13-2. They went undefeated in the Condor League.

Following Villanova's players in the CIF Individual Qualifier were: Teddy Bliss of Dunn, posting 82; Koji Hirota of Ojai Valley School, posting 83; Lucas Bressan of Laguna Blanca,posting 88; Alec Cohen of Laguna Blanca, posting 89; and Kevin Wu of Cate, posting 90.
