Kids find wheel deal in safety

The annual Sheriff's Department's
Bike Rodeo Saturday produced lots of happy faces and 18 trophy
winners as kids of all ages competed at the Ojai Police Station.
The event, combined with the Ojai Police block party, featured
a demonstration by the sheriff's Department's K-9 unit assigned
to the Ojai area.
The event, staged by off-duty deputies and employees at the Sheriff's
substation, urges children to ride safely. Each child gets a
chance exhibit their proficiencies by riding through a predetermined
closed course designed to test their abilities, for which they
are rated.
Sheriff's Deputy Kim Larson publicly thanked the sponsors of
the event, which were E.J. Harrison Heritage Property Services,
Inc., Wilde-Guernsey, Inc., Coldwell Banker Property Shoppe,
Ven Oak Market, Ojai Recreation Department, Camp Ramah, Morgan
