Team Gluyas tops Soule Seniors

The Soule Park Senior Golf Club competed in a "four-man, two best ball" style tournament June 2. Out of the two flights, Don Gluyas, Vern Goff, Dennis Riley and Daryl Muth took top honors in the low flight, posting a 116. High flight winners were Bob Caron, Allyn Partridge, Pete Mercado and John Martinez, posting 118. The folowing are the complete tournament results:

Low Flight:
First place,
Don Gluyas, Vern Goff, Dennis Riley and Daryl Muth, posting 116.
Second place, Ralph Philips, Mike Higgins, John Dornick and Bill Eckenroth, posting 119.
Third-place tie between the team of Terry Clifford, George Rose, Darrell Downey and Charles Gallardo, and Gerald Cummings, Hugh Black, Gordon Whitcomb and Bob Bryden, posting 122.
Fifth place, Jim Burke, Ray Cavallero, Jim Maxwell and Rich Plain, posting 124.

High Flight:
First place, Bob Caron, Allyn Partridge, Pete Mercado and John Martinez, posting 118.
Second place, Jerry Stull, Gary Cross, Bill Meade and Dwight Powell, posting 122.
Third place, Bob Guyll, Konrad Gleissner, Bruce Rehwaldt and Ted Exner, posting 123.
Fourth place, Leo Jennings, Bob Cousar, Lou Liddi and Richard Brown, posting 124.
Fifth-place tie between the team of Robert King, Charles Underwood, Gerald Farrar and Victor Munzlinger, and Dave Gibson, David Nakada, Hal Jannsen and Joe Moran, posting 125.
