Learn with Cotti at girls' basketball camp
The Run With Coach Cotti Girls' Basketball Camp will be held at Nordhoff High School from June 30 to July 3. Camp begins at 9 a.m. and ends at noon each day.
The camp is aimed at girls ages 7 to 15.
The camp will focus on fundamentals of the game, including footwork, ball handling, shooting and defense. There will be individual instruction by Nordhoff coaches as well as past and present varsity players. There will be daily scrimmages and daily prizes. At the end of camp there will be an awards ceremony.
Each camper receives a T-shirt and a basketball. The fee is $110 after June 16. Proceeds will go to benefit Nordhoff's girls' basketball program.

Nordhoff girls' basketball tryouts start Monday
Tryouts for all Nordhoff incoming freshmen to senior girls who want to play basketball in the 2003-2004 season will be held Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to noon.

ORD offers youth indoor soccer league
The Ojai Recreation Department will be holding an indoor soccer league for youths in two divisions: fourth- to sixth-grade and seventh- to ninth-grade. The league will play Fridays, at either 7:15 or 8:30 p.m., in the ORD gym June 27 to Aug. 8.
The cost is $20 per player, ($23 if nonresident), with a maximum of 32 players per division. Registration deadline is June 25. Call 646-1872 for more information or to sign up.

ORD adult basketball leagues start July 7
Adult basketball leagues at the Ojai Recreation Department start July 7. The C League plays Monday nights, while the 35-plus league plays Tuesdays, at either 7:15, 8:15 or 9:15 p.m. Each team is guaranteed at least 11 games.
The fee is $200 per team plus a $20 referee fee per game.
Each division is limited to six teams; registration deadline is July 1. A manager's meeting will be held July 2 at 8 p.m. at the ORD. Call 646-1872 for more information on the leagues.

Score in ORD Five-A-Side Soccer Tournament
The Ojai Recreation Department will host a Men's and Women's Open Five-A-Side Soccer Tournament June 29 at Matilija Junior High School.
The cost is $100 per team, plus a $10-per-game referee fee. Everyone is guaranteed three games on 40-b- 6-yard fields with 6-by-10-foot goals. Register by Tuesday to guarantee your teams' spot. Call 646-1872.

Register your summer softball team today
The ORD summer softball league starts Monday, but those wishing to enter a team must register at the ORD today to guarantee a spot in the leagues.
The following are the divisions offered:
· Coed C Recreational (Monday nights)
· Coed B Competitive (Tuesday nights)
Games are played at 6:30, 7:40 or 8:50 p.m. at the Sarzotti Park fields. Teams are guaranteed at least 12 games, with a one and one count and double headers. T-shirts will be awarded and team plaques will be awarded to the winners in each division. Call 646-1872 to sign up.

Drop in on weekly ORD pickup sports
The Ojai Recreation Department hosts drop-in sports throughout the weekend. Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m, and Sunday from 4 to 6:30 p.m., join coordinator Matt Murphy for basketball. Or join Russell Connick Sunday from 6:30 to 10 p.m. for volleyball. Ultimate Frisbee, location TBA, is held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Fridays.

Youth tennis players: practice at Ojai Valley Inn & Spa
The Ojai Valley Inn & Spa will be holding summer junior tennis clinics Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the summer. Kids ages 7 to 10 will play in the Aces age group and will practice from 9 to 10 a.m. The Futures age group, for kids 11 to 14, will practice from 10 to 11 a.m. Sessions will start Monday. The fee is $49 per session for OVI members, $60 per session for non-OVI members. Instruction concentrates on the fundamentals of ground strokes, volleys, serve and return, and point construction.
