Ojai man strikes casino gold

Ojai resident Michael Lindsay won a $131,110.87 jackpots while playing a Wheel of Fortune" nickel slot machine at Chumash Casino Sunday.

Lindsay had stopped in to visit the all-new casino and decided to put his luck to the test. Lindsay hit it big after spending only $20 on the Wheel of Fortune nickel slot machine.

Although the 50-year-old said the win wouldn't change his life, he does plan to use his winnings to pay off bills.

"We're very excited that another of our area residents won a large jackpot here at Chumash Casino," said casino general manager Jon Gregory. Set in the rolling hills of the Santa Ynez Valley near Solvang, the all-new Chumash Casino Resort features a 60,000 square-foot gaming area, 2,000 slot machines, three restaurants and a total of 54 table games.
