Police Blotter for the week ending September 19, 2003

REPORTED CRIMES
An unidentified suspect was reported to have embezzled cash from his or her employer without permission on Aug. 23.

An unlocked bicycle was reported stolen at the 500 block of Old Ventura Road in Oak View on Sept. 6.

Two saws, worth a total of $500, were reported stolen at the 800 block of Romano Drive on Sept. 9.
An unknown suspect was reported to have cut a hole in a residential screen door while the residents were sleeping on Sept. 15 at the 1300 block of Gregory Street.

 

CITES AND ARRESTS
A Casitas Springs man was cited and released near his residence on Aug. 9 for provoking a fight and obstructing a medical technician from performing his job.

A Country Drive man was cited and released at the corner of Red Hill Road and White Oak Circle on Sept. 11 for alleged possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

An Encinal Street man was cited and released on Sept. 11 for allegedly thieving some equipment from Moody's Equipment Rental in Casitas Springs.

An Aliso Street man was arrested at his residence on Sept. 11 for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $10,000.

An Oak View Avenue man was cited and released near his residence on Sept. 11 for allegedly driving without a license and with an open container.

A Valle Rio man was cited and released on El Paseo Road for allegedly driving without a license.

A Burnham Road man was arrested on Sept. 11 on Santa Ana Road for allegedly driving while under the influence. Bail was set at $5,000.

An Encinal Street man was cited and released on Sept. 13 near his residence for allegedly driving without a license or proof of insurance and without his headlights on.

A transient man was arrested on East Matilija Street on Sept. 13 for allegedly being under the influence and for warrants for being under the influence, possession of hypodermic needle and violation of probation. Bail was set at $20,000.

A transient male was arrested in Libbey Park on Sept. 13 for alleged public intoxication. The arresting officer stated that the man appeared to have been falling over and seemed "unable to care for himself." Bail was set at $1,000.

A Santa Ana Road man was cited and released for alleged unlicensed driving on Sept. 13 at the corner of Ojai Avenue and Ventura Street.

An Ojai-Santa Paula Road man was arrested on Sept. 14 near his residence for allegedly hitting a victim and the victim's car window with a baseball bat during a road rage incident. Bail was set at $22,500.

A transient man was arrested at North Ventura Avenue and Frazier Lane on Sept. 15 for allegedly being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a smoking device and unlicensed driving. Bail was set at $6,000.
