REPORTED CRIMES
· The theft of a $7,000 emerald ring was reported in the
7800 block of Sulphur Mountain Road Sept. 18.
· Miscellaneous property valued at $130 was reportedly
taken from an unblocked vehicle in the 1400 block of Drown Avenue
Sept. 25.
· Vandalism to a vehicle in an employee parking lot Sept.
26 totaling $200 was reported.
· The door to a boy's rest room at the old Oak View School
was reportedly broken by vandals Sept. 22. The loss was listed
at $400.
· Bricks were reportedly used to smash the $300 windshield
of a vehicle in the 600 block of Grand Avenue Sept. 25.
· A Pioneer car stereo and tools were reportedly taken
from a locked vehicle in the 500 block of Katherine Avenue Sept.
26. The loss was listed at $930.
· A $500 Stihl chain saw was reportedly taken from the
bed of a truck near the intersection of El Roblar Drive and Lomita
Avenue Sept. 26.
· Forged checks totaling $1,020 were reportedly cashed
at a downtown business Sept. 26.
· Cash and merchandise, including 350 cartons of Marlboro
regular and light cigarettes, were reportedly taken from an Oak
View market Sept. 26. The total loss was reported to be $36,200.
· The owner of a vehicle in the 500 block of Ojai Avenue
reported that a $250 window was smashed Sept. 27.
· Two wooden signs at Libbey Park were reportedly damaged
by vandals Sept. 27. The loss was listed at $1,240
CITES AND ARRESTS
· A Riverside Road man was arrested at his residence Sept.
24 for allegedly disturbing the peace. Bail was set at $2,500.
· A local man was arrested on Creek Road Sept. 25 on suspicion
of hit and run and driving without a license.
· A Villanova Road man was arrested on Ojai Avenue Sept.
27 on suspicion of driving under the influence on a suspended
license and violation of probation.
· A Camarillo man was arrested in Oak View Sept. 26 on
suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance
and on a no-bail felony parole hold.
· A Sunnyglen Avenue man was arrested Sept. 27 at his
residence on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled
substance. Bail was set at $5,000.
· A Sunset Avenue man was arrested on Ventura Street Sept.
28 on suspicion of vandalism and possession of a dangerous weapon.
· A South Padre Juan Avenue man was arrested on Signal
Street Sept. 28 on suspicion of being under the influence of
a controlled substance. Bail was set at $5,000.
· A Short Street man was arrested at his residence Sept.
28 for allegedly obstructing or delaying a peace officer and
on a no-bail felony parole hold.
· A transient man was arrested on Fulton street Sept.
28 on suspicion of public intoxication and soliciting.
· A Park Road man was arrested in Oak View Sept. 29 on
three misdemeanor warrants totaling $15,000.
· A Pueblo Avenue woman was arrested in Casitas Springs
Sept. 30 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled
substance. Bail was set at $5,000.
