Teen coed volleyball starts
tonight
The Ojai Recreation Department is hosting a team coed volleyball
league, starting tonight at Sarzotti Park. The league runs through
Dec. 12 on each Friday. Grades four to six play at 7:15 p.m.,
and grades seven through 10 play at 8:15 p.m.
The cost is $25 per player, plus a $3 non-resident fee for those
not residing in Ojai.

at the gym tonight.
Register now for youth winter
basketball league
Registration forms for the Ojai Recreation Department's youth
basketball league are still being accepted. The league is $65
per child from second- to ninth-grade, and $45 for kids in kindergarten
to first grade.
Games will start at the beginning of next year; call
646-1872 for more information on game times and ratings.
Beginners' tennis teaches
youths basics
From Monday to Dec. 20, the Ojai Recreation Department and instructor
Rick Thompson will hold an eight-week tennis class for youths.
Classes are Monday and/or Saturday; Mondays, classes are held
from 4 to 5 p.m. (beginners) and 5 to 6 p.m. (advanced beginners).
Classes may also be taken Saturdays from 9 to 10 a.m. (beginners)
or 10-11 a.m. (advanced beginners).
Ages 6 to 12 are welcome to attend the classes, which are held
at the Lower Libbey Courts.
The cost is $48 for one day or $72 for both Monday and Saturday
classes.

Refine your child's tennis
skills
with ORD classes
Kids ages 10 and up are welcome to join the Ojai Recreation Department's
Intermediate II and Advanced Tennis classes.
Lessons start next Tuesday and run through Dec. 18 on Tuesdays
and Thursdays.
For Intermediate IIs, classes are held from 4 to 5 p.m.; Advanced
are held from 5 to 6 p.m.
The prerequisite for Advanced is the completion of Intermediate
IIs. The cost for both is $72 for the eight-week course.

Fourth Turkey Trot Softball Tourney to be held Nov. 29, 30
The Ojai Recreation Department will host the fourth annual Turkey
Trot Softball Tournament Nov. 29 and 30. The cost is $150 per
team, plus a $10 per game umpire fee.
Team trophies will be given out for first-, second- and third-place
teams, and championship
T-shirts and bat bags will be awarded to the first-place squad.
The tournament will be held in a double-elimination format with
a one-and-one count.
The contest is limited to 16 teams, so early registration is
suggested.
Registration deadline is Nov. 20; call 646-1872 to sign up your
team or drop your completed registration form at the ORD. Teams
