Thacher's soccer crews demolish
Santa Clarita Christian

BOYS:
The Thacher boys' soccer squad scored big against the Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals.
The Valencia team didn't have what it took to keep up with the Toads, who pulled off an eventual 4-2 win.
Toad Ben Babbot connected for two goals, both of which came from his back stopper position.
Austin Pollet was also an important factor in the game, assisting on a goal and then making one of his own.
Teammate Jaime Luna also nabbed an assist, and T.J. Benner kicked in a big goal to bring Thacher to a 4-2 win.
Thacher's boys are now 2-0-1, having tied Fillmore last week in what coach Fred Coleman called "a very very tough game."
The Toads are now off until January for exams and winter vacation, but will be back in action at Cate Jan. 9 at 3:30 p.m.

GIRLS:
On the girls' end of Thacher soccer, Santa Clarita Christian was no match for the Lady Toads, who creamed them with a 6-0 win.
Thacher's Kelly Percival scored half of the Toads' goals on the day. Teammates Dierdre Herbruck, Kaggie Auric and Anna Walter each contributed a goal to the team, bringing the score to 6-0.
Thacher's Jo Kingery also played a good game, assisting on three goals for Thacher.
Thacher's girls' soccer squad will play Fillmore next after the winter break, on Jan. 9 at home.
The game will prove to be an interesting one, as the Flashes' boys' squad is the only team thus far to have tied Thacher's boys' squad. Villanova's girls also had a difficult time against the Flash, puling off a 2-1 win
