Two have filed so far for mayor's seat

Ojai's first-ever mayoral race is officially under way, with two candidates returning the required paperwork this week.

As of Wednesday morning, incumbent mayor Paul Blatz and Johnny Johnston had filed the paperwork required for seeking the office, according to Ojai Records Manager Cheryl Shaw.

Four positions in the city of Ojai will be listed on the Nov. 8 ballot including mayor, city treasurer, city clerk and one seat on the City Council.
