Casitas directors to discuss possible public meeting on water lawsuit

The Casitas Municipal Water District Board of Directors will discuss scheduling a public meeting on the city of Ventura’s water litigation this week.
Directors will also talk about recent press coverage in the Ojai Valley News, according to the meeting agenda.
During the 3 p.m. meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 26, the Casitas Board also plans to discuss scheduling a public meeting on the District’s comprehensive water resources plan. The objectives of the plan, in development since November of 2018, are identifying water sources, maximizing existing local water resources and hardening infrastructure.
Also on the agenda are action items including possible contract awards for public relations services, pipeline replacement work on Emily and Cañada streets in Ojai, and consultant services for the repair and maintenance of the Robles Diversion and Fish Passage Facility.
CMWD Board meetings are open to the public and are held in the Casitas Board Room, 1055 Ventura Ave., Oak View.
The meetings are livestreamed and recorded for viewing, and agendas are posted, at www.casitaswater.org.
