Thursday, March 19 updates from CMHS:

• On Wednesday, March 18, Community Memorial Health System was informed that one of its physicians at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura tested positive for COVID-19. The physician reports being asymptomatic while at the hospital. Therefore, exposure risk from contact is low.
— We are following CDC guidelines regarding exposure risks for any contacts to ensure the safety and health of our patients, staff and other physicians.
— We are evaluating all exposure risks and will notify individuals accordingly.
— Out of respect for all of the individuals affected, and in accordance with HIPPA guidelines, we will not be releasing the name of the physician who tested positive.
• As of Friday, March 20, entrances to the Community Memorial Hospital Mountain Tower (old hospital) are closed. Patients and essential companions who require access to the Mountain Tower for services will need to enter through the Ocean Tower (new hospital), and will be assisted, as needed, into Mountain Tower from the Ocean Tower.
• As of Thursday, March 19, all cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation outpatient services at Community Memorial Hospital have been suspended.
• As of Thursday, March 19, the main entrance to Ojai Valley Community Hospital is CLOSED. All patients and essential companions are required to enter through the Emergency Department entrance.
• Effective Thursday, March 19, patients with a cough, fever, or shortness of breath cannot be seen at our regular Centers for Family Health locations. This includes patients who have already scheduled an appointment. If you or a loved one has ANY of these symptoms, please call or text 805-652-6353 or visit one of our Urgent Care sites.
