March 25: 50 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ventura County, 2 in Ojai; 7 county residents hospitalized with COVID-19; 1 person died from COVID-19 on March 22

3 25 MORENUMBERSVentura County Public Health reported there are 50 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ventura County as of Wednesday, March 25, with seven people hospitalized and one person in his or her 70s who died from COVID-19 on Sunday.

The number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Ventura County is 11 more than reported Tuesday. A total of 808 tests have been completed at public and private labs in the county.

— 3 are in Moorpark
— 2 are in Oak Park
— 5 are in Oxnard
— 2 are in Santa Paula
— 12 are in Simi Valley
— 1 is in Somis
— 7 are in Thousand Oaks
— 6 are in Ventura
— 2 are in Westlake


The ages of the confirmed cases are”
— one age 0-17
— three age 18-24
— nine age 25-44
— twenty-one are 45-64
— sixteen are 65-plus


Ventura County Public Health reminded community members to stay home to stop the spread. A list of essential businesses is included in the Stay Well At Home Order, which can be read at  
Ventura County Public Information Officer Ashley Bautista issued a press release with the Public Health officer advice on "How can I get tested?":
"Please call your doctor for a risk assessment if you are symptomatic. Your doctor will advise you whether you need a test or not. If a test is recommended, your doctor will provide you with the location for testing. Your doctor is your first point of contact. If you do not have a doctor please call your local urgent care and they will advise you on next steps.
