BREAKING NEWS April 10: Ten deaths in Ventura County due to COVID-19; 298 positive COVID-19 cases; 4 in Ojai, 1 in Oak View

Rigoberto Vargas, director of Ventura County Public Health for the Ventura County Health Care Agency, reported on Friday, April 10, that there are today 10 COVID-19-related deaths in Ventura County and 298 positive cases. He also said there have been 5,500 Ventura County residents tested.

The report of 10 deaths is three more people than were reported the day before on April 9.
Vargas said the people who died were in their 70s and 80s.
He reported today’s local COVID-19 numbers on the daily county government updates provided Monday through Friday at 1 p.m. on vcemergency.com.
