VC reports nearly 300 new COVID-19 cases this week

As of June 18, there were 1,753 people who ever were diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ventura County, and 427 cases in the past 14 days.
This was a 47-case jump from the day before and a 287-case jump from the week before at this time. Out of these 1,753, 13 were in Ojai and three in Oak View.
One of the Ojai cases came in the last 14 days, on June 5.
The 1,753 positive cases came from 43,132 tests, meaning 4.06% of those who have been tested countywide were ever positive.
Forty-one people were in the hospital with COVID-19 countywide as of June 18 and 17 in the ICU. Forty-two people are reported to have died from the virus in Ventura County as of June 18. Seven of these deaths came in the last 14 days. None were in the Ojai Valley.
