Los Padres National Forest officials will hold the next virtual public meeting for the controversial Reyes Peak tree-removal proposal on Monday, July 20, at 12:30 p.m.
To participate in this public hearing, members of the public can log into https://usfs.adobeconnect.com/dv-500/.
The public is advised to log into the meeting early to troubleshoot any technical issues, as some devices will require participants to either download the Adobe Connect Application or additional software prior to being able to join the meeting, according to national forest organizers.
This meeting will be 90 minutes long and will include a brief overview of the project and a time for questions.
A third virtual public meeting will be scheduled prior to the close of the scoping period Aug. 14.
The scoping period was extended to allow for additional public comments from individuals and groups.

To learn more about the project, visit Los Padres National Forest’s Reyes Peak page at https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=58012 .

People with concerns, suggestions or information on this project have until Aug. 14 to provide them electronically at https://cara.ecosystem-management.org/Public/CommentInput?Project=58012 .

You can also submit a comment online at LPFW.org/pine .

The first virtual public meeting on the project was held June 11.
