OUSD tech folks help students Zoom on first day of class

ZoomMonday, Aug. 24, is when Ojai Unified School District students start their first day of virtual instruction and must log in for roll call.

OUSD officials sent out a note today at 8:12 a.m. that it is ready to help families who cannot log in.

Those having difficulties are asked to fill out a HELP form at: .

On that form, include your best contact information, and OUSD tech folks will reach out to assist.

OUSD also announced that "hot spots" to connect to wifi and chromebook laptops will continue to be distributed this week.

OUSD stated in a text and email: "Our soft start to back to school, beginning with Orientation Week, is designed to allow us time to work with you to troubleshoot technology issues and help you and your student become comfortable with new platforms. Your child will not be penalized in any way if you can't log in. Once any issues you are experiencing are resolved, we suggest you log in to Canvas and complete any activities that you may have missed. The company that provides Zoom services reported problems with people trying to log in to Zoom at 5:50 a.m. in California. It reported that it had addressed most of the problems by 9:15 a.m. and was working on a fix Monday morning for the remaining affected users.
