Nordhoff High drive-in movie night Oct. 30: ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’

Disney’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” — will screen tonight, Friday, Oct. 30, from 6:30 to 10, at Nordhoff High School, 1401 Maricopa Highway.

The parking will start at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will start at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are still available for purchase online only at bit.ly/OUSDNBC — no tickets will be sold at the event.

Tickets are $25 per vehicle. There is room for only 125 vehicles, so people who want to attend are advised to buy their tickets online ASAP.

Larger vehicles, such as trucks and van, will be parked in the back of the lot to allow all to see the movie screen.

Movie night is organized by Ojai Unified School District’s Family Fund, and a portion of the proceeds will go to support the Nordhoff Dance program ( https://www.nhsdance.com/annual-appeal ). 

The OUSD Family Fund provides support for the ongoing wellness needs of students, providing resources to families ( https://www.ojaiusd.org/page/family-fund ).

A special treat is that there will be a small group of Nordhoff Dance 3 students performing “Thriller.”

Restrooms will be available onsite. Attendees must wear a mask and follow social-distancing guidelines when traveling to and from restrooms.

Other social-distancing regulations at movie night include:

— Attendees may sit in folding chairs within the area of their parking space.

— Attendees may view the show from the bed of a truck, but not sitting so high as to obstruct the view of others.

Refreshments offered for sale, only preorder, when tickets are ordered online include turkey burger and chips for $6; bento box of veggies, pita and cheese for $6; “Sally’s” apply slices with caramel dip for $4, and Jack Skellington kettle corn for $4.
